Hey+, the perfect band India is missing!
After Mi Band 3, Xiaomi with another industry launched their new smartband, ‘Hey+’ on September 20, 2018 in China.
It looks like the Band 3 a lot but it flattens the customers with its mind-blowing specifications and upgrades from the Band 3. Some say, this is Mi Band 4, but, this is not the Band 4!
It looks like the Band 3 a lot but it flattens the customers with its mind-blowing specifications and upgrades from the Band 3. Some say, this is Mi Band 4, but, this is not the Band 4!
It comes with a Bluetooth v4.0, NFC, A 0.95 inches AMOLED coloured display, heart rate monitor, calorie calculator, alarm clock, stopwatch, camera/music controller, reminder, 120mAh battery, pedometer and push notifications. Xiaomi claims to give 18-day battery life for this band and a waterproof body made of silicone. It is quite light in weight as it weighs less than 20 grams! The major upgrade of this band is the AMOLED colour display from the Band 3 having an OLED display (which isn’t a coloured display).
This band may not have Xiaomi or Mi labelling because this band is not solely launched by Xiaomi. There is another brand too which plays a vital role in manufacturing of this band where Xiaomi choose to handle the department of sales of this product. Thus, Xiaomi may not be directly involved in this product.
This product is for around ¥299 (in China) which is approximately ₹3,148. This aggressive price makes customers go crazy about it. Though, there is no correct information regarding the launch of this product in India while it is available in Chinese market especially YouPin.
Till now, all Mi bands came with such a design that one had to remove the capsule from the strap to charge it, but in this band, the design is made to overcome this problem. There is no need to remove the capsule out of strap to charge.
We cannot say anything that this product will roll out in India or not as there are Xiaomi products that never came to India. Though, AmazeFit series also came to India, so we can roughly relate this incident with the launch of Hey+ in India. It will be really great if this product actually comes out for India.
Customers who want to buy this product in India can try visiting various e-commerce websites like AliBaba/AliExpress, GearBest and Banggood. We can see that this product is available for around ₹4,542 on Banggood with rating of 5 stars out of 5. and for around ₹4,347 on GearBest. It is customers’ choice to wait for the launch, buy this from international websites or forget about it. There are many frauds and not so satisfying situations faced by Indians from these websites and it takes a lot of time for delivery, but, we can never say that these websites aren’t trustworthy or bad.
The NFC chip in this will mainly be used for payments via AliPay, or for the electronic bus ticket (in China). It also makes it easier to connect your smartphone to the fitness band. Alternatively, this connection succeeds via the integrated Bluetooth 4.2. One may just bring the band’s screen near to the reciever and it is done! Really quick!
It is also noted that the notifications will look much clearer than the Band 3 due to coloured and AMOLED display.
