Which is more impressive given the context they were built in: The pyramids, the great wall of China, or the Burj Khalifa?
The most impressive amongst the Egyptian pyramids, The Great Wall of China and Burj Khalifa, is the Egyptian Pyramids.
Burj Khalifa, the tallest building is no doubt full of amazements, also, the Great Wall of China is not less than any architecture but the Egyptian pyramids are just beyond the limits, in respect to the available resources and time it was made. The first pyramid ever made was the ‘Pyramid of Djoser’ made around 4,700 years ago is around 62 meters tall containing the grave of the ruler, Djoser. If we see other pyramids in Egypt, there is no end of amazement. Knowing about the facts and the stories behind the pyramids is unbelievable. There are a lot of unsolved mysteries and a lot more to find just about the pyramids. The facts about them always blows one’s mind like:
- Many of them have a natural air conditioner inside them, which kept the pyramids cool upto 25°c where the outside temperature also crossed 50° c. This might be common today, but think about 4,700 years back!
- There are more than 5,000 of the pyramids in Egypt.
- Engineering and architecture is just amazing.
- The stones used in the pyramids weights between 4000 to 10,000 kilograms, which is more than an elephant! Also, all these stones were pulled and placed without the cranes and machines we have today.
- Deeper and deeper tunnels are found in them.
- A lot of grounded secrets, mysteries and powers.
- A lot of mummies, coffers, expensive materials and documents which are difficult to get them out.
- The pyramids are made in respect to the constellations, that to exactly!
- A huge statue of Sphinx was built near the great pyramid around 4,500 years ago. It has the body structure of a lion and the head of a pharaoh. The sole purpose of the Sphinx was to guard the pyramid of Khafre at Giza.
- Pyramid of Giza is located exactly at the intersection of the longest line of longitude and longest line of latitude.
