The first picture of Black Hole clicked!
Black Hole is a region in Space popular for its really strong gravitational force which can trap anything and nothing can escape from it. Not even particles and light. It takes lakhs of year for it to form.
In April 2019, the 200-person Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) team rolled out the first ever image of Black Hole. It is actually the picture of the shadow of it, not actually the Black Hole! It is a hard work of more than twenty years invest by the team with a lot of dedication. It is really appreciable that the Science is evolving. We can see in the picture that it looks like bright ring with a black empty space in between. It is at the heart of Messier 87, a giant elliptical galaxy which is much more than five crores light-years from Earth, appeared largely as expected. This is expected to be 650 crores times bigger than the Sun!
This picture is going viral on the world of Web. It is hitting the front pages of newspapers and magazines. It is even going very much trending on blogs, websites and social-media.
The people didn’t stop in making memes on this new picture. Some are comparing this with the buffering symbol and some are comparing it with a donut!
Anyways, this was really mind-blowing and we expect to see much more of the advancements and reveals in future. This enhances our knowledge really well!
