The North Korean operating system: Red Star OS!
Red Star OS is a North Korean operating system based on Linux. It was firstly started in 1998, developed by the Korean Computer Center. The lastest version of this operating system is the 4.0 as of now. It is available in Korean language only. This operating system looks a lot like the initial version of Mac OS X launched by Apple Inc.
This operating system is to believed the one and only operating system available in North Korea where other countries enjoy thousands of them! This is really mind-blowing! Before this operating system, North Korea used Red Hat Linux and Windows XP. The country doesn’t want to interact much with the rest of the countries and want to live a much private life, this made the country to develop their only operating system and other operating systems are totally banned in the country. In 2006, a Japan-based North Korean newspaper interviewed two developers of this operating system.
