Are all Micromax phones rebranded or copied?

 

The Indian brand ‘Micromax’ which is headquartered in Gurugram is revolving with a statement by customers and competitors that the devices manufactured by this brand either re-branded or beautifully copied. Is this really true? We know Micromax is just managing to survive in this highly competitive market where it was the top brand in India before 2017! This statement has disappointed many Indians and customers.
Many products of Micromax are re-branded but not all. The following smartphones are re-branded;
RE-BRANDED
  1. ‘Qiku 360 Q5’ is re-branded to Micromax Dual 5.
  2. ‘ZTE Blade V8’ is re-branded to Micromax Dual 4.                                                                             
  3. ‘Wiko Ufeel Prime’ is re-branded to Yu Yureka Black
  4. ‘Wiko Pure’ is re-branded to Micromax Canvas Sliver 5.
  5. ‘Coolpad F2 4G’ is re-branded to Yu Yureka.                                                                                      
  6. ‘Wiko Highway’ is re-branded to Micromax Canvas Knight.                                                                    
  7. ‘Blu Life One’ is re-branded to Micromax Canvas 4.                                                                    
  8. ‘Explay X-Treamer’ is re-branded to Micromax Turbo Mini A200.                                                   
  9. ‘K-Touch S757’ was re-branded to ‘Micromax A100’

10. ‘Gionee GN868’ was rebranded to ‘Micomax A90’.
11. ‘K-Touch W700’ re-branded to ‘Micromax A85’.
12. ‘ZTE Penguin’ re-branded to ‘Micromax A60’
 
13. ‘Ployer Momo 9’ re-branded as ‘Micromax Funbook Alpha’

14. ‘Himax Polymer’ is re-branded to ‘Micromax Canvas Nitro’.

Also some of the smartphones launched by Micromax are very much similar to other smartphones like;
COPIES
  1. ‘Micromax Canvas 1 (2017)’ is similar to ‘Apple iPhone 7 Plus’ in design.                                          
  2. ‘Micromax X1i (2017)’ is similar to ‘Nokia 3310 (2017)’ in design and features.                                   
  3. ‘Yu Yunicorn’ is similar to ‘Meizu M3 Note’ in design and somewhere in features.
  4. ‘Micromax X250’ is similar to ‘Nokia XpressMusic 5130′.                                                                      
  5. ‘Micromax W900’ is similar to ‘Nokia XpressMusic 5800’.                  
  6. ‘Micromax Canvas 2 Plus’ is similar to ‘Apple iPhone X’ in terms of design.                                  
  7. ‘Micromax Canvas Selfie’ is purely same as ‘Meitu 2’.                                                                                
 

Note: ‘Yu’ is a sub-brand of ‘Micromax’ only.
